VALENTINE WRESTLING CLUB 2012

Welcome Back!  We are looking forward to another great year of wrestling in Valentine.

Who We Are...

  • Philosophy It is our philosophy that through a competitive sports program we can provide the incentive for youth to fullfill their own individual needs and goals and at the same time set an example for other youth in the community as well as remember that the program is not only for themselves but for the kids to follow.
  • Mission The Mission of the Valentine Wrestling Club is to provide an atmosphere that fosters the art of wrestling and sportsmanship, that will be provided to kids from K-12, at any talent level.

Membership

Before attending a practice session, please fill out our online membership form and bring a check to the first practice. The membership form is located under the membership tab above. All wrestlers are required to have an AAU insurance card before they can participate in the club. Many may already have an AAU card from another sport and that card is good for our club also. Please put the AAU number on the membership form.

Fees for the Junior Club are $40.00. Each additional wrestler in the same family (sibling) is $30.00. If a wrestler wishes to check-out a singlet, we are requiring a $65.00 deposit which will be returned once the singlet is checked in.

Practice

We will be starting practices on Thursday, January 5th at 6:00 in the City Gym. Practices thereafter will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. for Pre-K – 2nd Grades and 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. for 3rd thru 8th Grades in the City Gym. If a parent wishes to view their child practice or wishes to help on the mat, they are more than welcome to but if anyone is creating a distraction in the gym, they will be asked to leave.

Shoe Exchange

We have many wrestling shoes which can be loaned out for the wrestling season at no charge. As wrestlers outgrow their shoes, they may donate them to the wrestling club shoe exchange. Shoes will be available starting at the first practice.
